Between August 19 and August 26, India went from 31 days to 32 days, Pakistan from 75 to 77, and Nigeria from 76 to 78. Pakistan moved fastest.

The sharper rise came earlier in August, when Pakistan jumped from 48 days to 75 over two weeks and Nigeria moved from 68 to 76. India climbed more slowly.

Another track of the agency’s weekly updates shows India at 27 days on August 5, then back at 31 to 32 by August 19 to August 26. The pattern held.

The climb was already visible by mid-August

July 28, 202622 days43 days64 days
August 5, 202627 days48 days68 days
August 19, 202631 days75 days76 days

The spread was wide by then. It kept widening.

From July 28 to August 26, India added 10 days, Pakistan 34, and Nigeria 14. The difference was not subtle.

The agency treats the figures as rolling estimates. They can move fast.

Country-specific demand, file mix, and workload can shift the published waits quickly. That is why the gap can widen in one weekly update and narrow in the next.

The agency’s weekly updates kept pushing Pakistan and Nigeria higher

The late-August pattern points in one direction for all three countries, but not at the same speed. Pakistan surged hardest.

India’s latest figure sits well below the others because its rise was modest over the same stretch. Pakistan and Nigeria kept adding days week after week.

That was already clear in the August 5 update, when India had dropped to 27 days after earlier lows, while Pakistan and Nigeria were still moving upward. The climb did not stop there.

By August 19, the divergence had become harder to miss. Pakistan had already reached the mid-70s, and Nigeria was close behind.

Temporary-residence files moved too

The same August update showed another line of movement. Nigeria’s temporary-residence processing time stood at 7 weeks on August 26, up from 6 weeks on July 28.

Pakistan’s temporary-residence processing time was 8 weeks on August 26, up from 7 weeks on July 28. The numbers moved together.

That wider August pattern left India with the shortest visitor-visa wait among the three countries in the latest update, while Pakistan and Nigeria continued to drift higher.
