Air France has extended its Dubai flight suspension through September 8, 2026, inclusive, giving passengers a shorter disruption window to monitor. The Dubai suspension affects flights to and from the UAE airport while the carrier reviews regional conditions.
Cathay Pacific has cancelled all passenger flights to Dubai and Riyadh through November 30, 2026, a far longer timetable that also removes the Saudi capital from its Middle East schedule. The carrier’s notice covers services up to and including that date.

Both airlines tied the decisions to regional security developments. The French carrier said it is monitoring the “evolving security situation.”
The Hong Kong carrier cited “the latest developments in the Middle East” and said it would continue watching conditions before restoring passenger services.
Cathay Pacific is giving affected passengers three options: rebook, reroute or refund their tickets. Its stated policy says, “Affected travellers will be offered the flexibility to rebook, reroute or refund their tickets.”
The remedy applies to customers whose itineraries fall within the cancellation period. Passengers will need to review their individual bookings and available alternatives through the airline’s Middle East passenger-services notice.

Air France has also kept Beirut flights suspended through September 13. That separate suspension extends beyond the carrier’s Dubai date, adding another restriction to its Middle East schedule.
Cathay’s timetable keeps its Middle East passenger network grounded for a prolonged period. The suspension has been described as lasting a total of nine months.
Other airlines have adjusted Gulf operations as security concerns continue. Dubai and other UAE-linked routes have seen delays and cancellations across multiple carriers.
The French carrier said it “continuously monitors the geopolitical situation in the territories served and overflown by its aircraft in order to ensure the highest level of flight safety and security.” Cathay said it would “continue to closely monitor the evolving situation in the Middle East.”
