- The Pakistani passport ranked one hundredth globally in the July twenty-twenty-six Henley update.
- Holders currently maintain access to thirty visa-free destinations despite slight fluctuations earlier this year.
- Pakistan remains among the bottom four countries, outperforming only Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
The Henley Passport Index put the Pakistan passport in 100th place in its July 2026 update, giving holders access to 30 destinations through visa-free, visa-on-arrival or ETA entry. It was 103rd in 2025. The shift was modest, but real.
The 2026 path moved in short bursts. January put it at 98th with 31 destinations. February lifted it to 97th with 32. May sent it back to 100th with 30. July held the same line.
Dr. Christian H. Kaelin, chairman of Henley & Partners, framed that movement as part of a wider global divide.
"Today, passport privilege plays a decisive role in shaping opportunity, security, and economic participation. mobility advantages are increasingly concentrated among the world’s most economically powerful and politically stable nations."
He tied mobility to power.
Singapore stayed first in the July 11 update with 192 destinations. Pakistan sat above Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. It still belonged among the bottom four globally. It briefly hit 97th in February 2024.
Henley counts visa-free, visa-on-arrival and ETA access together. The figure can change quickly. A country that tightens entry rules can pull a destination out of the tally. That is how the score moves.
