Philippine Airlines plans to bring back nonstop Manila–Delhi flights and open its first nonstop Manila–Mumbai route in December 2026. If India approves the services, travelers will get direct links from Manila to both cities, with overnight outbound departures and early arrivals.
The airline announced the plan on September 25, 2026. Delhi would mark a return to a route PAL previously served; Mumbai would be a new destination for the carrier.
The Delhi service is planned to operate three times weekly, while the Mumbai route is scheduled four times weekly. Both would use an Airbus A321neo with 168 seats, including 12 lie-flat Business Class seats and 156 Economy seats.
The airline said the routes would offer “more convenient access for business, leisure and cultural exploration.” It described Delhi and Mumbai as “two of India’s leading cultural and commercial centers.”
Manila–Delhi flights were discontinued in 2011, according to industry research. A restart would restore PAL’s nonstop connection to the Indian capital, while the Mumbai service would create the airline’s first nonstop link between the two cities.
Passengers would leave Manila late in the evening and arrive in India early the next morning. The return flights are scheduled to reach Manila at 5:00 PM.

The weekday pattern differs between outbound and return services because the Manila flights arrive in India the next day. Delhi arrivals fall on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; Mumbai arrivals fall on Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and Monday.
The return flights leave India in the morning. Delhi’s PR643 is scheduled to depart at 8:15 AM, while Mumbai’s PR647 leaves at 7:15 AM. Both return services are listed to reach Manila at 5:00 PM.
The December start remains conditional on approval
PAL’s planned launch depends on authorization from the Government of India. The airline’s announcement gives December 2026 as the intended start month for the services.
One industry report gives December 14, 2026 as the effective date for the Delhi service. That date is reported for Delhi, while PAL’s stated plan describes the routes’ start in December without setting out a separate date for Mumbai.
The two routes also have different histories for PAL. Delhi is a resumption after the earlier Manila–Delhi service ended in 2011. Mumbai would be the carrier’s first-ever nonstop Manila–Mumbai service.
PAL lists booking channels and an entry option for Filipino passport holders
The airline says travelers will be able to book through its website and mobile app, as well as at ticket offices. PAL also lists its hotline and accredited travel agents as sales channels.
PAL says Filipino passport holders may use India’s e-Visa program. The airline has presented that as an option for its Filipino customers alongside the route announcement.
The planned schedules place all Manila departures at 10:40 PM. Delhi and Mumbai would have separate arrival times, at 3:00 AM and 3:05 AM the following day, respectively; the proposed return flights are scheduled to bring passengers back to Manila at 5:00 PM.
