Opportunities NB said the draws follow provincial labour needs, the remaining allocation, and other priorities set by the government.

That framing matched the week’s pattern. The largest single draw went to Francophone candidates, and the province kept healthcare in every round.
Jean-Claude “JC” D’Amours also pressed the case for larger room to maneuver at the federal-provincial-territorial meeting in June 2026. He pointed to the need for "stable and adequate PNP allocations" to address regional labour shortages. Short supply, steady demand.
The strongest Francophone selection came on July 16. That round went through the Strategic Initiative stream and focused on Francophone Workers in NB and NB Francophone Priorities. It produced 254 invitations.
Another July 16 round went through Express Entry. It sent 115 invitations through the Employment in New Brunswick pathway.
The skilled worker stream also added to the total. Across its July 16 and July 18 rounds, it issued 267 invitations in all. The graduate category accounted for 209 of them, and the remaining 58 went through the experience and priorities paths.

The Atlantic Immigration Program draw came last, on July 22, with 114 invitations from the candidate pool. That round used a cut-off of July 21, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. AST. The July 16 Strategic Initiative round used a cut-off of July 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. AST.
Healthcare workers appeared in every selection. So did construction trades, education, social and community services, manufacturing, professional/IT, sales and services, and transportation.
The province has been using a pool system for the Atlantic stream since February 3, 2026, to manage inventory and respond more quickly to employer demand. By July, the pace had climbed. Including these draws, New Brunswick had issued approximately 3,100 invitations in 2026, and its estimated annual allocation stood at 3,603 certificates.
By early autumn, that ceiling could come into view.
