Qatar Airways increases Doha-London Heathrow flights from 8 to 10 daily, its busiest schedule ever.
Flight frequencies rise on over 15 routes, including Abu Dhabi, Berlin, Cape Town, and São Paulo.
New Virgin Australia partnership adds Melbourne-Doha flights; LATAM Airlines supports access to 55 Latin American destinations.

Qatar Airways has announced a major increase in flight frequencies to more than 15 destinations for the winter 2025 season, responding to strong passenger demand and aiming to strengthen its Doha hub. The airline’s latest update, released in July 2025, marks its highest-ever service levels on several routes, including London Heathrow.

The most notable change is the jump from 8 to up to 10 daily flights between Doha and London Heathrow, making it the busiest schedule ever for this route. This increase, along with British Airways’ twice-daily service, gives travelers more choices and flexibility. Other key routes see similar boosts: Abu Dhabi rises to 6 daily flights, Berlin to 21 weekly, Cape Town to 12 weekly, and São Paulo to 18 weekly flights. Destinations like Dublin, Frankfurt, Johannesburg, Madrid, Manchester, Maldives, Phuket, Sharjah, Tokyo Narita, and Toronto also benefit from more frequent service.

Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, stated: “Qatar Airways is consistently witnessing a steady rise in demand for our 5-star services to some of the most prominent destinations in the world, most notably for London, Dublin, Cape Town, and São Paulo… The latest increase in flight frequency is testament to our continual and unmatched enhancements of experiences for our passengers travelling through the Best Airport in the Middle East, our hub, Hamad International Airport.”

The expansion is not limited to Europe and the Americas. Africa will see an increase of 35 weekly flights, improving access across the continent. In Australia, a new partnership with Virgin Australia adds flights from Melbourne to Doha, raising capacity to three daily flights. Qatar Airways will also restart service to Canberra, further connecting Australia to the world.

📝 Note
Qatar Airways has expanded its network significantly, so if you’re traveling to Latin America, explore their partnership with LATAM Airlines for seamless connections to major cities.

Passengers benefit from these changes through greater flexibility, more connection options, and improved access to both business and leisure destinations. The airline’s focus on passenger experience is clear, with over 50 Boeing 777s now equipped with free, ultra-fast Starlink Wi-Fi, and the Airbus A350 fleet set to follow soon. Hamad International Airport, the Doha hub, continues to win awards for its quality and service.

For those traveling to Latin America, the partnership with LATAM Airlines allows for easy connections to 55 destinations, including Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Lima, and Santiago de Chile. These partnerships and increased frequencies support tourism, trade, and business ties between Qatar and other countries.

Qatar Airways has rebuilt and expanded its network since the pandemic, using its Doha hub and global partnerships to meet growing demand. The airline was named World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for a record ninth time in 2025, reflecting its leadership and commitment to service.

As reported by VisaVerge.com, aviation experts see Qatar Airways’ aggressive expansion as a move to secure its place as a top global connector, especially with rising competition and changing travel patterns.
