About USCRI
U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants is one of 10 national resettlement agencies designated by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) to handle the federal Reception & Placement (R&P) program. R&P agencies coordinate the first 30–90 days of resettlement services for newly arriving refugees: airport pickup, initial housing, food, basic furnishings, school enrollment, social-services and health-screening referrals, and orientation to U.S. life.
This agency operates approximately 30 local affiliate offices across the United States, where on-the-ground caseworkers handle daily resettlement support. To find a specific affiliate near you, contact the national headquarters using the website or phone number on this page.
