About USCCB
U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops — Migration & Refugee Services is one of 10 national resettlement agencies designated by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) to handle the federal Reception & Placement (R&P) program. R&P agencies coordinate the first 30–90 days of resettlement services for newly arriving refugees: airport pickup, initial housing, food, basic furnishings, school enrollment, social-services and health-screening referrals, and orientation to U.S. life.
This agency operates approximately 65 local affiliate offices across the United States, where on-the-ground caseworkers handle daily resettlement support. To find a specific affiliate near you, contact the national headquarters using the website or phone number on this page.
