A U.S. deportation flight carrying 85 Brazilians deported from the United States arrived shortly before 2 a.m. on Oct. 31, 2026, at Confins International Airport near Belo Horizonte. UOL reported the arrival. It was the 39th U.S. removal operation involving Brazilians in 2026.
The group included 69 men and 16 women, and the passengers’ average age was 34. Four passengers were between zero and 14 years old. At least one elderly passenger was also aboard.
Brazil’s reception operation arranged hotel support and onward travel
The Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship coordinated the reception with other federal bodies and institutions, including the International Organization for Migration, or IOM. The assistance is part of Aqui é Brasil, created in August 2025.
After airport procedures, the operation directed passengers to a partner hotel. Support there included meals, hygiene kits, health care and psychosocial assistance. The program also offered guidance for onward travel to the returnees’ destination municipalities.
