What This Draw Means
In Draw #75, IRCC set the CRS cutoff at 673 and issued 290 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) on November 1, 2017. This means all candidates in the Express Entry pool with a CRS score of 673 or higher received an invitation to submit a permanent residence application.
This was a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw. PNP draws have high CRS cutoffs because provincial nominations add 600 points to a candidate's score. A provincial nomination virtually guarantees an Express Entry invitation.
This draw's cutoff was 70 points below the category average of 743, indicating a more favorable round for candidates. Lower cutoffs like this can result from IRCC issuing a larger number of invitations or from seasonal fluctuations in the candidate pool.
