Blomfield wrote that “the entire Accenture workforce is about to be outperformed by a 24-year-old who learned Claude Code last Tuesday.” The post, reported by Financial Express on March 2, 2026, framed the claim as a deliberately punchy way to make a point rather than a literal prediction about headcount.
When another user suggested the same logic could apply across other white-collar fields, Blomfield replied: “Because that would be a less punchy tweet.” Financial Express reported the exchange.
The remark landed at a moment when AI coding assistants are moving from novelty to default workflows in some teams, and when international students and visa holders watch entry-level job openings closely as a bridge from F-1 status through OPT and into employer sponsorship for H-1B roles.
