  • Basic medical care is available in the country but there are increasing shortages of even common medications. Medicines could prove expensive or impossible to obtain in this country and any visitors travelling with pre existing medical concerns are advised to bring a sufficient supply of the required medicines with them. Most doctors are likely to demand instant payment for any services rendered and full health and travel insurance is strongly recommended. An expensive air evacuation to a nearby country may become necessary in the event of a serious accident or illness.
