- Importation of controlled substances and weapons are strictly prohibited and any traveller in possession of any controlled substances will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law of the Republic of Palau.

- Endangered animals and plants and products thereof as outline by the CITES convention will require permit from CITES. You can also contact Directorate for Nature Management.
- Environmental Protection Fee: USD 15 is levied on all visitors departing from Palau Islands.Place of payment: airport of departure.
- Nationals of Palau Islands holding a valid Passport
- Holders of a Palau Islands Birth Certificate, showing that the person was born in Palau Islands
- Alien residents of Palau Islands, holding a Resident Visa/permit
- Holders of a Dependent, Foreign Government or International Representative, Government Employee, Investor, Missionary, Student or Work Visa/permit.
- Diplomats and persons exempt from obtaining a visa, such as members of a diplomatic mission and their families
- Crew travelling on duty.

🩺 Basic Health Information for Travelers to Palau
- Typhoid, Rabies, Tetanus and Tuberculosis occur in this country and prevention as well as precautions should be taken when traveling to the Island.
- Cholera and Yellow Fever immunizations are required for those arriving from infected areas.
- Medical facilities and standards are available in the major cities but limited in more outlying regions of the country. Medical evacuation may be required in the event of more serious injuries and travellers to the country are strongly urged to obtain full health and travel insurance prior to beginning their journey.
