  • Immunization against Yellow Fever is required if going to Easter Island within six days of visiting infected countries.
  • Immunization against typhoid and Polio are sometimes advised. Additional preventive measures against Hepatitis A, B and Tuberculosis are advised.
  • Rabies spread by wild animals is a danger and anyone bitten and suffering headaches, fevers or nausea should see the nearest doctor immediately.
  • Acute Mountain Sickness can affect travellers in this country. Visitors feeling light headed, dizzy, tired or sick should immediately head to a lower altitude and see a doctor if symptoms persist.
