There are five major duty rates (including 0% rate) for imported goods, excluding vehicles which have special rates. These duty rates are as follows:

There are four items of exported goods where taxes have to be paid.

Basic health information for travelers to Cambodia

Visitors are strongly advised against drinking from untreated water. Swimming and bathing in the water should only be undertaken in chlorinated pools. All food should be well cooked and served hot. Milk should always be boiled before drunk. Cholera transmitted via food and water is a big threat in this country and visitors are encouraged to take extra care with what they eat and drink and to see a doctor immediately if affected.

  • Malaria is a high risk in Cambodia and can kill if not treated. Travellers visiting this country should take all measures to prevent getting bitten by the disease carrying mosquitoes including plenty of repellent and clothing that exposes little in the way of skin. If bitten, visitors should visit their nearest doctor ASAP to check for infection.
  • If getting a tattoo, travellers should make sure that the equipment being used is 100% sterile. Needles and syringes should never be shared even for medicinal purposes.
